I started off by buying a DCSH Red Tornado and seeing that he is just about the most generic base possible. At that point I figured I might as well try SOMETHING with him. Took off the cape, ran him under some hot water and popped off the head, glove pieces and boot cuffs. Then I scrubbed him with some hot water and soap and started with a black base coat. I still had no idea what I was going to do even though I knew I wanted to start my own JLA line. That's when the Scarlet Speedster crossed my mind. I found an old Captain America Face/Off head and knew it was destiny :) I washed the head and added the black base coat once more. I then grabbed my Model Masters Red and went to town dry brushing the hell out of the figure. I used the drybsrushing technique becasue I like the details it shows in the muscles, as well as the old Flash TV series look it gave the figure. Easiest custom I've ever made and I'm really happy with the way it came out. Let me know what you think!!
