Another fun Spidey villain - Molten Man!

The medium sized buck works well for this guy. The shoulders are a big pain to get around paint rub though. They are incredibly badly engineered as many who own figures on this buck know - there is a lot of rub even for factory figures and limits movement. As such, I excavated the shoulder cavity for minimizing paint rub, but it makes it look a bit ugly as you can see from the pics. Not much I can do about that....

He is just a Vance Astro, sprayed black for a non-reflective surface for the gold to pop from. I hand painted the gold, as sprayed on wasn't an option at the time.

The head is Vance Astro with sculpted hair, like Colossus has!

And the belt is a Mr Sinister strap with a buckle sculpted on.

Nice and simple.

However, I had planned on simulating the flaming aspect of the character, he is supposed to be a human encased in molten metal after all, there'd be heat coming off. But it proved tough to sculpt and I opted for the still accurate classic look, which was all gold.
