So before you jump and scream about the color schema, here's the story. A previous customer and friend has a role playing game with her friends, and in their DBZ universe they have this red-ish, version of Cell that she wanted me to bring to life. And with those multiverses from DBZ going on now, it actually sounded like a cool idea. So I was tasked to repaint this Banpresto Cell Statue to a matching schema for which some original art from one of the role players was provided. As well I was told that in real life she imagined the colors to match the ones of the small tree in the pics. Long story short, here's the outcome. I personally liked it, and I'm happy with the result, and I hope she is as well :) I liked it so much I decided to submit it for this contest, so I hope you guys like it as much as I did.
Cool color scheme . It's always nice to see fellow customizers try out something different and original. I always believe that when customizing figures be it a repaint or adding more details. We should never be afraid to experiment and push our creativeness and skills to the max
I can't take the full credit on this. The schema really came from my customer. I think she gets the original idea credits. I just put her idea on the plastic
While it's true that your customer should get credit for coming up with the unique color scheme, I believe that you should also get equal credit for making her idea turn out superb. Her request might sound simple doing a type of sakura color but it's how you implement it that's counts
im pretty much on the same boat. I normally don't like statues. Actually I think I've done 3 or 4 only. But this one I was very happy of doing and happier even with the results
