A character I have been planning for a while, and with the new Vance Astro that came out, it helped with paint rub on the elbows and knees. So I added the forearms and feet from Red Guardian, for the white colour and gloves. Then I took care of the remaining paint rub, sculpted the leg wraps and added the necklace piece (cast) of the Hasbro female White Tiger. The necklace itself is a twisty tie, they're very useful. I keep a big bag full of them, have so many from the Toybiz days haha. Ahh those were the best time as a collector.... The head is a cast of Black Panther with the ears cut off. To achieve a nice smooth white paint job, I used Tamiya Fine Surface Primer in white, and I swear by these Tamiya sprays. They are so smooth and durable, but no-one talks about them. I use them all the time now, and have been asked a lot recently what I use, and this is it. I always spray a top coat of Tamiya Semi-Gloss Clear, and it makes them nice and smooth and slightly shiny. It has definitely upped my game and is such a simple thing to do. Originally the plan was to do very pale blue in the muscles to give definition, then dry brush white over it. But due to time constraints and the difficulty of dry brushing white (takes about 4 times longer than other colours to achieve a nice blended look), I left it out. Looks fine as is, and works with my style, which is actually just trying to fit it in with Hasbro's offerings, as if they had made it themselves. The amulet? was painted green then had a green/yellow dry brushed over to make it look glowing. I carried it over onto the torso, and looks a bit dark which was my bad, but passable. I'm happy with it. Took pics against my eye catching black crocodile skin look (not real) wallpaper since I needed a dark background. Thanks for looking! ![]() |
