A couple of years ago, I fixed up a Commando style Spawn. Up until now, it was the most difficult figure I've ever made. Now, it's just the busiest. When I got asked to fix up Bob, I had a general idea for how to approach him. I thought it would be good to build him off a Hulk body. But, that wasn't working out well. So, in my brilliance, I decided to go with the hardest possible option and build him off the Thing. I sculpted over the feet for shoes, then added some sculpt to his legs for the pants. Cut off the head, and added a ton of sculpt to the body. A ton. It took three layers to get it shaped up properly. Smoothed over the arms with sculpt, then added bands to the lower arms on top of that. Swapped out the hands for Abomination, as well. After I sculpted up the suspenders, I dremeled down into the top of the body a bit and glued a Captain America neck peg in place. Added sculpt around it to bulk it out a bit, then sculpted on the collar too. Grabbed a Juggernaut head, and added a little sculpt to the hair to shape it up a little differently. After all of that, I gave him a full repaint, and done! Whew!
