As a big Indiana Jones fan, I have long dreamed of getting a hold of the Disneyland exclusive 7 inch scale Indiana Jones figure, which I think was first released in 2007 or 2008 and is only available at Disneyland theme parks (the Disneylands that have Indiana Jones attractions, at least). Earlier this year, I finally got my paws on one - it wasn't the first figure, which was based on Indy's appearance in Raiders of the Lost Ark, but was instead based on Indy's look in Temple of Doom.

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the figure. The head sat too high on the neck and was too long, the colours were a little too light in places, the stance was too wide, the hat looked too big for Indy's head, the whip didn't fit snugly in either hand, and the holster was non-fuctional. I was appreciative of the wealth of accessories included with the figure, though. I decided to mod the figure, drilling into the head so it could sit a little lower on the neck, and sanding down the chin a little so the face didn't look so long and narrow. Repainted the entire figure, and replaced the non-fuctional holster with a holster made from craft pleather. I also sanded the brim of the Fedora, which was a little too wide to begin with. It still looks oversized, but hopefully less so. Thanks for looking!

Cool! You can definitely tell the improvements! I picked up the Raiders one and they are nice figures!

Thanks, I would have preferred to have the Raiders one but am glad to have the Temple of Doom one all the same!

Much better than how it originally was! You did a great job Jedd. I do like Temple of Doom the most out of all the Indy movies. Though it may be a much darker story, I think it's a thrilling adventure and has enough comedic and fun moments too.

Thanks Ric! While Temple of Doom is not my favourite Indy film and did scar me for life, I've come to appreciate it. The cultural insensitivity is still a little cringeworthy, but I guess a lot of classic pulp adventure stories had those now-uncomfortable overtones.

Thanks, and I agree! I wish there were a way to bring the legs closer in together without ruining the figure, but this will have to do for now.
