Make up your mind, you can´t ask me if I´m gay and then call me a homophobe. Makes zero sense. The X-Men in his movies are an obvious stand-in for LGBT people. They are outcasts from society due to the way they were born, I.e. something beyond their control. Which is the entire reason why Xavier´s school is even necessary, to protect them from the harsh society and give them a place where they can explore who they are and what they can achieve. There´s anti-mutant protests that use the same rhethoric as anti-gay protesters. Zack Stentz, one of the writers on X2, openly admitted that the gay rights allegories were put in on purpose. And what about the scene where Iceman comes out as a mutant and is asked by his parents: "Have you ever tried not being a mutant?" You really don´t see the connection?

Also, you say this was for one individual, not the entire group. I presume you mean to say you wanted to make fun of Bryan Singer, not the gay community as a whole. Then why did you make some of your characters trans, which he is not? You could have switched around the names and costumes of the X-men for your parody, basically made every detail about them wrong, since he never read a comic book and wouldn´t know the difference. That would have been making fun of him. What you did was making fun of the LGBT community, which comes across as meanspirited and explains the harsh comments you received. Maybe I shouldn´t have called you a homophobe, I guess it´s conceivable you simply thought this was funny and didn´t think about what other people might see in this.
