Unleash the Hogs of War!!

I spent so much time sculpting this figure, I wanted to post it without the armor.

This little piggy came from the Dollar Store! All other parts were picked up at Goodwill in the 29 cent bin. I am so proud of this guy, somehow I managed to make him for under $5.

Base: Plastic Farmhouse Pig
Under body: Prince of Persia Horse
Under head: Wookie Warrior

Ok so I found a cheap pig that was made of very soft plastic. I cut the body in half, sliced it up the middle and then cut around the legs and removed the head.

I then took the Prince of Persia horse and removed the saddle. The horse was held together with 2 screws. I removed those and dismantled the horse.

Then I used a Wookie to create more altercation. I jammed the Wookie head into the pig head and used it for the ball and socket joint. Then I removed the lower half of the Wookie, and cut the upper shoulder blades at a slant. The Wookie shoulders were used as the neck and fitted to the horse body with a screw.

Then I fitted the hollowed plastic pig body around the horse body. Then sculpted with Milliput to fill the gaps.

I cut the horse legs off at the knee and glued the hollowed-out pigs legs on, for added length.

For the head, I sculpted over the original pig face entirely; saving only the original ears, which I repositioned over the eyes. I used fur from Thorin's coat and the horse tail under the belly.

The head alone took me 8 hours to sculpt.
