What ruins a highly articulated, and comic book accurate, figure? A corny action feature and takes away from the anatomy of a figure. This is one of those cases. The following is simple modification, but a must in my opinion. As you can see, the original figure has a lever that sticks out of the back and creates and up and down arm motion. I dremeled it off. Make sure to fill the existing internal gears with some glue. This won’t affect the arms, they will still work and rotate at the shoulder. If you don’t do this, as I learned, and you only pack it with apoxie, the movement arms will move the inside gears and tear up the apoxie. I had to redo one of these figures because of that. On both examples I sculpted a little bit around the edge of the hole so it keeps the look of a torn shirt. One Hulk I painted white and the other Hulk I added some blue because that figure’s white shirt had blue highlights in it. You could go without painting the apoxie and it would look like it was Hulk’s skin. Consider this the Fixed Joe Fixit. Enjoy!! ![]() |
