Hey guys! I always dug the Gamma Punch Hulk released in The Incredible Hulk Series back in 2004, I know a lot of people love the Face-Off Hulk and for most collectors is the default Hulk in their display but for me I always felt it was missing something. The sculpt is there but articulation wise it just doesn't work for me so if you want your Hulk figure just standing around in your display I guess is fine but I needed something more...

That's how I came across Gamma Punch Hulk, loved the sculpt and the articulation but there still were a few things not quite right so I went ahead and did some modifications and now stands proudly in my Avengers display. Is not by any means a perfect Hulk, but it's pretty damn close in my book...

First thing that had to go was the "Gamma Punch Action", this was an easy step as you just remove the screws on the back of the figure's shoulders, take the shoulder apart and remove the spring within them. Once you've done this you put the shoulder back together and VOILÁ! You now have fully articulated shoulders and arms.

Second thing was the head sculpt, now don't get me wrong, the Gamma Punch Hulk has one of the better Hulk head sculpts out there but I just didn't like that he was always having the screaming expression on my display. To fix this I went on eBay and found a tremendous Hulk head cast that I knew as soon as I saw it that it was the one. I believe it's of the "Classic Hulk" from the Fin Fang Foom Series and it fits perfectly.

Finally, some work on the head so I could make it fit into the Gamma Punch Hulk body and I did my best to match the green from the body to the head and painted the head sculpt. I added some final details to the figure like painting white the teared shirt from his waist and was very happy with the final result.
