There's a bittersweet, very name-droppy story behind this figure. A radio DJ on whose show I'm a guest got the gig to go to L.A. for the press junket for the new Tomb Raider movie. I asked if he could bring along my Lara figure to get a photo of Alicia Vikander holding it. Alicia Vikander ended up keeping my custom, but there's no photo of her holding it. So this sounds like something I made up to explain why I left the figure somewhere, and I'm a little bummed out about it but hey, hopefully she keeps it next to her Oscar or something. This is a replacement for that figure, and is almost entirely the same recipe, apart from some of the accessories which I didn't have duplicates of. WWE diva AJ Lee base with Mickie James legs and a Kitty Pryde head, with lots and lots of sculpting. Created the bow and quiver from scratch: The bow is made of twisty wire sculpted over with epoxy, while the quiver is made from strips of craft pleather. The pickaxe was made from several knives from Kotobukiya accessory kits cobbled together with some ProCreate. The belt and holster was made from craft pleather, the rope bundle was made from thread and the walkie-talkie was a Stargate accessory with some sculpt added. Thanks for looking! Please wait... |
