Custom painted, weathered, battle damaged Commander Cody from "The black series" I filled in each of the holes/spots where he had joints that bent, with acrylic plastic putty and painted over it with a little white and then tamiya weather chalks to blend it in. Each of his elbows and knees have cloth glued and cut to fit, to make it appear as though its the cloth and there armor over top of it as a two piece suit. His neck was retouched up with black to make it appear as though his neck was separate from the chest armor, as though it were an actual piece of chest armor put over top of the mesh suit. Each of his shoulder pauldrons was taken off and painted black and the shoulders were retouched up as well as the interior of the body He was weathered with tamiya weathering chalks and acrylic paint. The base is made of balsa wood and quark. The quark then had a single layer of stone powder clay added on top and painted with acrylic paints, and sealed with a matte finish. To finish it off, I washed it in 2 coats of black, and two coats of dark brown to bring out detail. There is a metal stud in the base that goes into codys foot, so that he may be removed. ARTICULATION* His arms rotate at the shoulder freely. There is movement in the hands and feet. His elows move slightly. They knees and elbows weren't particularly made to be moved, because I added the cloth to make this more of a "statuesque" piece, but he can be moved a little. ![]() |
