Date Added:September 11, 2018
Base Figure:ML Scream
Height:5.75 inches
Critiques:Requested!
The recently released ML Scream figure is definitely my new go-to for all yellow female characters. So nice to not have to worry about painting yellow. I have needed a Jim Lee Jean forever, and finally got around to making it.

ML Scream with Dark Phoenix head. The belt is a modified Kitty Pryde belt.

Thanks for looking.

I haven't yet posted a pic but I will. Basically, picture a manufactured version of yours (And I like your rendition of The Tiara Of Power better!) with the "Powers On" translucentesque (For Light-Up?) Dark Phoenix Head with the forelock removed and it makes her look like she's REALLY cranking-it-up Firestarter Style! I'm still REALLY upset they couldn't get either iterations of her hair right (How hard is it?!?) and the Paint-Job on Eyes and Lips only looks right on the Incorrectly Sculpted Poneytail Head.

My (1st Draft) and (1st Custom EVER) Solution to this Figure Custom Challenge was... interesting. I scalped the Incorrectly Rendered Poneytail Head from the 3-Pack and then, after first scalping the evil glowing eyes Dark Phoenix Head, I glued the Dark Phoenix Powers-On Flowing Hair onto the Scalped Poneytail Head. I accidentally broke some of the in her face hair off but I think it actually works better and she has better + bestiest hair, better face and eyes, and full articulation!

Well, I scored both heads on Ebay as well as an Stand-Alone out-of-box Newest Jean and one of The Previous Version MOC which apparently only sucked due to unsteady legs, clenched fist, and crappy face-paint by manufacturer as sculpt was good and as every Fan Custom Redo of the Face Painting has been Good > Great. Did you use the Blue Aves Sculpt? Any advise on shaping/inserting Face Piece Edges and Tiara? Two things as side-note...

01) It's HILARIOUS that The Best Hair Sculpt came from the otherwise forgettable Dark Phoenix 2-Pack.

02) You could make SERIOUS $$$ by Upgrading these heads with your outstanding work as they clearly are the best one's ever and people would pay you well for them.

Do you accept commissions? I'd be interested in getting This Head Type and Sculpt on The New Body.

I do periodically take commissions, but only for full figures. I don’t smaller projects like heads, it’s not cost effective

Aside from not having matching and opposed open and summoning powers hands -- see upcoming Jean Grey, Cyclops, Wolverine 3 Pack + The Other Custom -- I have to say I think your's is the best because her hair looks right and like she's using her powers. I do, however, feel we have yet to see the correct color for the costume from anyone anywhere including the manufacturers. Another problem is that no one can agree on what the trim should be. Do you use gold thighpads or recolor them as blue so they match the rest?

Thanks. My design choices were based on not wanting paint yellow. After stripping the hasbro paint off the their Scream figure, it was all yellow. I choose to sculpt and then paint the thighpads blue, as I would not have been able to match the yellow plastic that Hasbro used

I'm dying to know how you got the Tiara and Face Sleeve on so flawlessly. That's not just good painting it's solid material.
