Star Trek has never gotten the same love as Star Wars when it comes to toy/action figure love (for more info watch THE TOYS THAT MADE US on Netflix) and when they launched the tie in toy line in 2009, it was a mixed bag and suffered the same fate as the Indiana Jones line the previous year, with their follow up movie faithful wave of figures being cancelled. This is Jim Kirk as he appears through much of the first movie, in his black duty under shirt. The head is a modified Star Wars figure head, as Playmates’ sculpt of Chris Pine was subpar and pinheaded. Figure was completed in late October 2018.

Nice job! Yes, Playmates never did Trek Justice (but they kept trying!)
