This one took a lot of effort to get it right. I found a 12 inch Spidey figure pretty cheap and as soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do with it. I ran into quite afew hiccups in the process of painting this guy. I ended up changing his colors afew times to make it more accurate to the game. I also didn't intend on scultping anything on him at first since I've never used it before. Half way through painting I decided what the hell lets try it lol and I think it came out pretty decent for my first ever usage of scultlptong clay. The eye apertures and all the white pieces except on the feet are sculpted. Everything else is painted by me. Nothing on this guy went untouched everything had to be repainted and sculpted. I even sanded the feet to be more round and removed the web shooters were on his forearms. If anyone would like to see the steps I took in greater detail I have a video of it on YouTube. My account name is the same as on here.

Backshot Side By Side
I couldnt make the back logo as accurate as possible due to the butterfly joints on this guy. Since I was sculpting the logo rather than painting I made the decision to trade accuracy for simplicity. If I had sculpted parts of the legs on the butterfly joint it would have become a mess and keeping the white paint crisp on that joint while the shoulders move in and out would be a nightmare. So its not quite the accurate logo but it is pretty close for the amount of space I had to work with.
Front Side By Side
So the front is alot more accurate than the back. Once again the butterfly joint makes the back and chest a little more narrow than they should be which gave me less sculpting space to work with but the front didnt suffer like the back did. The first Spidey figure I made was months before the game came out and it was 6 inches so it was harder to detail correctly. But now with a figure double the size and the game's camera mode at my fingertips for reference shots, I made sure I captured everything as closely as I could. Its tricky though since sometimes you dont seem to notice little things until after the fact. At first I had painted the panels on his thighs in a different shape and had used grey accent lines rather than dark red. But being able to go back and check again for corrections helps tremendously. Some things however I couldnt fix, like how the bottom inner legs on the chest logo should be a little shorter than the outer ones whereas I did it the opposite way. But thats not really a big deal and the logo itself is still pretty accurate aswell as the colors.

Thanks man and go for it dude its a lot of fun. Painting action figures is a pain in the ass with all the mocing pieces that need to be samded ao paint doesn't chip off haha but its all worth it in the end when u can stare at it on ur shelf for hours on end. Or maybe its just me that does that 😂
