Hey guys, it's been a while. Finally getting around to posting my custom Apocalypse. Apocalypse is a figure I've had on my workbench off and on for over a year now, as those of you that follow my instagram have probably seen​, but I feel like the final product was worth all that time. The base is an Avengers Age of Ultron Hulk, with Titus BAF feet, a shrunken down Toybiz BAF Apocalypse head from Casting Cave, hands from Hulk, Space Venom, Sandman, arm cannon from Titus, and gauntlets from the Thanos BAF. I sculpted the collar, chest and back details, along with the boots, and then I painted it up in Model Masters and Tamiya paints. While I didn't really do anything crazy with the sculpt or paint, I'm really happy about what I did conceptually in getting the ideas I had about Apocalypse's ties to Egypt into the design. I got the scarab beetle design in there twice(on the back and on the belt) and a pyramid design on the collar, without them being out of place. The part I'm the most satisfied with are those original design elements I threw in there while still maintaining the overall design. Overall, I actually wasn't too happy about this one right when I finished it, but as I've been able to mess with it and take pictures it's really grown on me as one of my nicer customs, I'm really interested to see how other people receive it; feel free to drop you comments below!
