My NECA Batman figure's right leg broke at the knee while trying to pose it. Though the figure is accurate, the head looks too big relative to the body, the arms scrawny. Michael Keaton wasn't super buff in the 1989 film, but the way it was shot, he didn't look scrawny like the NECA figure either. So I transplanted the head, armor (both front and back), belt and groin section, and cape to the Mattel DC Superheroes black Batman body. Plus I made an alternate custom cape out of a black plastic bag. It was very difficult cutting and gluing certain parts so that they all fit the Mattel body properly. One small mistake and the figure and parts could have been ruined. Luckily, I did okay. I am much happier with the figure now. It looks tall, buff, and imposing like Batman should. I might swap the gauntlets and boots too. Please wait... |

1) heat the NECA figure with hot water or a hair dryer
2) Pop off the NECA head from the neck
3) carefully peel off the front and back armor from the torso (I had to cut and separate the front and back armor in order to fit both onto the larger DCUC torso)
4) remove the crotch-with-belt piece. You should be able to pop off the legs at the hip joint after heating.
5) remove the head and neck joint from the DC Universe Classics figure so that there is now a hole at the top of the neck
6) Carefully superglue the front armor on
7) Carefully glue the back armor on
8) Pull the crotch-with-belt piece onto the DCUC figure (heating the crotch-with-belt piece will help)
9) Pop the NECA head on the DCUC body. If it's loose put some blue tack or chewing gum in the hole at the top of the neck of the DCUC body. You may need to use a flathead screwdriver to separate the plastic at the top of the neck slightly to accept the larger NECA neck joint.
That's it.
