Uruk-Hai Warrior vs Gimli
Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - Multi-Packs
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
Through all the repaints, remakes and re-everythings, this is one of those things that SHOULD have been repackaged in another wave. I mean come on, we got two actual Uruk soldiers, not counting Lurtz and three Gimli's. Both of these figures are the top of their class to. Lets start off with Gimli. To simply state it, the figure of him alone with the ring on the pedistal doesnt even TOUCH this. He comes with tons of stuff. A cloak, removable helmet, battle axe (two heads), long axe with one head and two throwing axe's, each being different molds. He also comes with a throwing feature. Put a throwing axe in throwing in his hand, squeeze his legs together and watch the axe fly, the little things go pretty far. His paint is perfect, exactly like the movie counterpart. The cloack is a dark...[See More]
Merry and Pippin vs Moria Orc
Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - Multi-Packs
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
This is gonna be a pretty short review, I've already done 1/3 of it!!! One of the first combo packs in the LOTR waves, all three figures would later be redone and repackaged, well at least the hobbits would get redone, the orc doesn't. As you already know, or can go check out yourself, I've done the Orc (its basicly like the repackage, items and all) so you get to hear about the hobbits. Both Hobbits are short, about 3 inches each, the fact both are in weird fighting poses doesn't help either. They each come with three things, each get a sword, a pouch/sack and each gets their own cloak, which is different for each. They also come with the swinging action via switch on their backs, old stuff. Both are wearing their clothes from the movie, which is basicly green pants, coat and a white...[See More]

Super Poseable Gollum (with Climbing Action)
Lord of the Rings - Return of the King (Toy Biz) - Series 2
Rated 4.00 stars by Mr-X
Well, throughout all the repacking, remaking and pissing fans off, one figure has done all these the most, Gollum. How many Gollums can we get?!? Its amusing to walk in a store months after the LOTR figures have gone off the shelves and STILL see several rows of Gollums there, most people don’t want him and I can see why. He’s small, ugly and utterly useless after the first figure. Yet we still got hordes of them. This one isn’t so bad though im not saying he’s much good. Paintjob is the same as every other Gollum, he’s grey. He'll ALWAYS be grey. Well technically grey with brown loincloth thing. What really saved this thing was his base, it at least does him some good, oh and the fact he has magnets in his feet, magnets are always fun. The base looks like the side of a cliff, its black...[See More]
Uruk-Hai (Crossbow)
Lord of the Rings - Return of the King (Toy Biz) - Series 1
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
Eh a new figure? Its about time we got an orc that’s not a repackage. Standing at about 6 inches tall we have the crossbowmen of the Uruk army. He comes with several exciting things namely a working crossbow, 5 bolts and a helmet. What idiot made this helmet? It looks like a boat or a weird bucket, certainly not a battle helm. That may be the only odd item though, everything else is fine. The crossbow is probably the easiest bow to use in the series. Simple push a bolt into the hole, pull the lever and hope ya don’t hit someone in the eye, even fits nicely in his hands to. For those extra bolts just set'em in his nifty quiver located on his right leg. The Uruk’s paint and armor looks good. Unlike other Uruk's he wears quite a bit of armor, covering his entire upper torso with plate mail...[See More]

I agree, awesome figure. My only complaint was the wrists lack of articulation but everything else on it makes up for it.
Ugluk
Lord of the Rings - Two Towers (Toy Biz) - Series 5
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
I think I know why we get so many repackages: Toybiz doesn’t sell enough of that figure or they just don’t like us. With this guy is 50/50. Like Grishnak (ya its not spelled right) he originally came in a combo pack with a hobbit, here he comes again. He comes with two weapons, a whip and an Uruk sword. The button lever on his back makes both arms flail up and down, supposedly making him look like he’s swinging both weapons in different hands. To me, he just looks like an idiot when he does it. The other crappy thing about him is the head. He’s an Uruk not a demon, why make him look possessed? Paintjob looks fine for an Uruk though. Skins blood red while his armor is the typical black color. Whip is brown while the sword is black. The hair is oddly blonde, why this is far dumbfounds...[See More]
Moria Orc
Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - Series 4
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
*sigh* Yet another repacked figure, will it ever end? I doubt it... The Moria Orc, originally released for the first movies wave packaged with Merry and Pipin, here now by himself. Good or bad, you decide. He comes with two things, a cool looking helmet and that pointy stick they call a sword. No lever functions for once. Face turned out pretty good, looks like one angry goblin. I liked this paintjob, it looked well for this guy. His armor is a combo of red, grey and black with all the seeable skin being a greenish/pale color. Sword and helmet are also black. Movement was a bit hindered here at only the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists and thighs. The lack of leg movement keeps him stuck in a squatting pose. One of the better looking Orcs but the lack of major leg movement is annoying...[See More]

Oh yes, he is a cool and well made figure. Got bit of trouble standing but he comes with cool weapons and his paintjob is awesome.

Lord of the Rings - Two Towers (Toy Biz) - Series 5
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
Why do companies insist upon repacking everything and calling it something different. Here’s yet another example. The first time this figure came out it was with a hobbit, now here we have the EXACT figure but by itself. Standing at about 5 and a half inches, this guy is shorter then most other characters, mostly because his sculpt has him hunched. He comes with one weapon, a sword, no sheath. He also has the overused lever on his back, left arm goes up then comes back down. Most of his body is encased in black armor. The only exception to this being his head which is a bright orange. Don’t know about everyone else but I think an orange orc is a bit out there. Movement stays true, being present in the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, thighs, knees and feet. An ok figure, my only...[See More]
Berserker Uruk-Hai
Lord of the Rings - Two Towers (Toy Biz) - Series 5
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
Oh boy just what we need, a giant angry killing machine with a sharp weapon. Standing at about 6 inches, the Berserker Uruk is a killing machine. This simple but great figure is a good addition to any collection. He comes with one weapon, his spear/sword. He also comes with a lever on his back that when pulled makes both his arms go up then down to make it look like hes taking swings at some enemy. Paint job is really simple. His entire body is basically a blood red color. Helmet is silver with a white hand print over it. His shoes, gloves and pant thing is also silver/black Articulation is still the same, head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, thighs and knees. A simple but cool killing machine lol ...[See More]
Eomer (Sword Attack)
Lord of the Rings - Two Towers (Toy Biz) - Series 2
Rated 4.50 stars by Mr-X
Eomer, the banished nephew of King Theoden of Rohan. Heres an example of what could have been a great character but got a bit screwed up in the works. Don't get me wrong, hes a good figure but he could have been much better. First off, he comes with two items, a sword and a helmet. The helmet fits well and the sword fits nicely into both his hand and in the sheath. Now whats wrong with all of this you may ask? Well ill tell you. First off, his mouth. Now I know hes a warrior and all but come on, who looks like that even in battle?!? He looks like hes in a yoddling competition. Second off is his sculpt. Someone had the great idea of making him in some kind of battle position, it didn't work. It looks like hes squatting forward but not as a whole squat, kinda like hes trying to tell...[See More]
Legolas (Rohan Armor)
Lord of the Rings - Two Towers (Toy Biz) - Series 1
Rated 0.00 stars by Mr-X
Legolas, the elven archer of the Fellowship. Here is another great character remade again but this time even better. Standing at 6 inches tall, Legolas features his Rohan armor, worn during the battle of Helms Deep. Why its called armor I don't know, all hes got on armor wise is two shoulder pads. Our Elf comes loaded with weapons. He features a bow, three arrows, two elven knives and sheaths and a sword with sheath. He also comes with a Uruk shield that has wheels so we can re-create the scene where he surfs down steps on a shield, jumps off and kicks the shield into a passing orcs neck. As much as Toybiz would call it a different figure, hes wearing his normal elven clothes, which are grey and green. The only new pieces of clothing are his rust brown shoulder pads, armor straps and a...[See More]

This is one of the best LOTR figures they made. No action to limit posability and lots of articulation!
