Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) Reviews
Falcon
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 14 - Mojo Series
Rated 3.00 stars by BYGTOPP
Finally the Mojo series has hit the stores and I purchased the set. I was disappointed in Falcon. The Redwing bird doesn't fit into his back at all. It fits very loosely. I doubt I'll use it for display unless i glue it in but who wants to ruin a figure for that. His joints at his shoulders red while his shoulders are dark brown. Very poor looking I think. The other item is the detail of the wing. The frames arent detailed at all. Does Toybiz need to give everyone a paint by number set to make it look nice. I know with time contstraints they cant get everything detailed. But if you buy one you'll see. I bought two just to have a black male figure to customize. Toybiz hasnt and wont make hardly any black male figures. Lets see how Hasbro will do....[See More]

that picture must be a proto-type, cause it was the variant falcon that had the red cuffs and no gloves, and the non-variant had big ugly white gloves.
Kitty Pryde
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Giant Man Series
Rated 4.90 stars by Henchmen4Hire
A question for you folks who paid over 20 dollars online for Kitty, did you think it was worth it? When I first saw her released, she looked as big as the other 6-inch Marvel Legends ladies. I guessed she's 20-something years-old now so it makes sense that she should be 6-inches, but she's actually shorter than that, by about a quarter-inch. Is she short in the comics or is this Kitty from a few years ago, when she was still a teenager?...and still called Shadowcat, hah. I dont know, but this is a great figure. I'm glad I waited to get mine for way less than 20 bucks though :P Kitty stands about 5.75 inches to the top of her loose, dark-brown, flowing hair. It is very well-sculpted and has lighter-brown highlights. Her eyes are a smokey-grey and she has full, pouty, pink lips. She has...[See More]

Kingpin (White Jacket) vs Daredevil (Masked)
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Face Off Sets - Series 1
Rated 4.90 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Glee overtakes a Marvel Legends collector's body when he hears about more villains being made, and when it's someone as large as The Kingpin, that happiness only grows, and grows, and grows like a bubble of joy, until it's burst by someone like that ugly Lady Deathstrike or the upcoming BAF Blob :( (and on that note, Kingpin makes an excellent base for a Blob custom, sacrifices must be made, so get to work!). Kingpin towers over everyone else at just over 7 inches tall of massively awesome bulkiness. There's not much to say about detail since he just wears a white coat with grey pants, but he is still an impressive work of art nonetheless! His suit is seamed and pleated with wrinkles where they should be. The black dress-shoes have two golden clasps and he wears a large golden...[See More]
Captain America vs Red Skull
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Face Off Sets - Series 1
Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Yay, another Captain America. At least he's been kept down to only 4 Marvel Legends version: Series 1, Ultimate, Classic variant, and the Face-Off version. This newest Face-Off Cap is the best I've seen so far. He has the same body as the Ultimate Cap but with a much better original head-sculpt, more vibrant colors, and his original suit. This Cap stands in at about 6.2 inches of stupendifurous gloriousness, if such an exalted adjective can be imagined. The entire blue/red suit is highly detailed with wrinkles, seams, cuts, and shading. This Cap's suit is very bright and colorful, with a glossy finish, while the Ultimate Cap has darker colors with a matte finish. The glove-cuffs are not too bulky and are long enough to cover the old brown gloves' base (which are still sculpted onto the...[See More]
Captain America vs Red Skull
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Face Off Sets - Series 1
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
The Red Skull! The mere mention of this psychopathic Nazi-madman is enough to send shivers down even Great Hitler's spine. His head is red, emaciated, cracked, and bony, looking like an actual skull (whether it's just the mask he wears or the result of being exposed to his Dust of Death , I don't know). I must say, for someone who supposedly is able to beat Captain America to a pulp, this guy doesn't look very impressive. He looks kinda scrawny compared to Cap. Our skeletal superior stands a little over 6 inches tall. He wears some nifty blue/red body armor and a mocking grin. His eyes are completely yellow, teeth are white, there is a hole where his nose should be, and he has a slight overbite, lol. The head is nicely textured but his mouth is hollow, meaning you can see his neck...[See More]
Young Avengers
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Box Sets
Rated 5.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Our Asguardian stands heroically, with satchel and stick in hand, at 6 inches tall. Even though these Young Avengers are as tall, and sometimes even taller, than the much older heroes, these kids somehow manage to still look like kids! The leaner muscle, lithe frames, and well-sculpted faces come together well and get the job done right, but let's get back to the stick. It's more of a staff, but is it a magic staff? Does it shoot freaky energy blasts? Wizards like to use staves to channel the Forces of Nature to do their bidding, so is this kid a wizard? Unless he can swing throw it like a lance or swing it like a hammer, he'd better know how to eat fire and spit lightning because no formidable enemy is going to be kept at bay by a stick! He also has a finely-crafted, silver-accented,...[See More]

Yup, he might make an even better Gambit! I don''t like the shoulders on the ML Gambit, and he''s too short. Asguardian is 6 inches even so he works :]

Oh, and where it says "Unless he can swing throw it like a lance", the word "swing" isnt supposed to be there, oops
Young Avengers
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Box Sets
Rated 4.90 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Hmmm...he dresses like the U.S. flag and carries a shield...who ever could this young Avenger be emulating? Who could possibly be this Avenger's hero and idol? The Hulk!? Wasp!? Superman of course! Ooops, wrong universe. Young Patriot rises up like the star-spangled banner at a full 6.2 inches tall. Y'know, for heroes who are supposed to be kids, these guys are as tall, and even taller than their full-grown counterparts. Looks like someone's been eating their Wheaties. This is another very neat figure. Almost the entire paintjob is flawless, even the two little white stars on him are nicely painted. The problem is the little gold buttons on his jacket, some of the paint is off-center, but aside from that, everything looks good. The boots, gloves, and torso all have a soft matte finish....[See More]

When are kids going to learn that messing around with gamma radiation is NOT a smart thing to do! If you DON'T want to be horribly disfigured then listen to your parents and DON'T go near the barrels of glowing slime! Dancing around a leaky particle accelerator is also not smart! Getting hit with plutonium isn't smart either! Of course, you might get lucky and turn green and hulk out like...the Hulk...I think there is a nuclear fission plant down a few miles that way! Hurry before that annoying neighbor kid gets there first! Hulkling stands in at 7 inches of bulging green muscle. Mercifully, he has the intelligence and visual mercy to wear a nice black/grey suit instead of threadbare short-pants like another green hulk of larger, more brutish proportions. Our not-so-little hulkling...[See More]
Young Avengers
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Box Sets
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Seems like Marvel wanted to make a new team of Avengers to relate more to today's youth (in hopes of selling more comics maybe?) so they made young clones of the existing Avengers, gave them similar suits, and called them Young Avengers. So I guess now instead of everyone assembling in The Mansion, everyone assembles in Iron Lad's basement while his mom goes out to buy some milk. Iron Lad (Really? Iron Lad? Couldn't they give him a less generic name like or Armored Avenger or Red Armadillo of Death?) stands about 6 1/4 inches tall. Tall kid! His armor must be more flexible than Iron Man's because it is form-fitting. Even his metal mask is shaped to the contours of his face. Overall, Iron Lad's armor has the same color scheme as Iron Man's, mostly red with yellow and silver. The armor...[See More]

Spider-Man (1st Appearance)
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 10 - The Sentinel Series
Rated 4.25 stars by enice
so everybody knows spider-man and everybody knows he's awesome but hes grown a lot over the years, and personally i love the overall changes so that leads to the first 1/4 star missing.... its OLD looking. i know i know its supposed to be but the little teeny tiny eyes just dont appeal to me. also the spider symbols are a little off, once again just because they are the old ones so not really a complaint just a preference. one kinda plus about it being the old one is he came with a little netting 'cape' to make it look like the webbing 'wings' that he used to sometimes have. said cape is removable and attaches by 4 elastic bands that go on his hands neck and waist to make it spread. next 1/4 star is because my figure's left thigh is bent... right above his left knee his leg turns...[See More]

I don''t understand why some figures have bent body parts! Mystique has the same problem with her left leg, and sometimes Panther''s knee is messed up too. I think it''s just the way the figures are packaged...
