Henchmen4HireWith a name like "Moon Knight", how can you possibly go wrong buying the comics. I remember seeing Moon Knight as a very muscular guy, but this figure barely fits the "medium build" description, let alone the "barrel-chested" description I remember seeing.
Marc stands about 6 1/4 inches tall, so he's tall and lean, like a Scarecrow. As someone simply put it, "Moon Knight is just a Bullseye figure with Deadpool's head", and it looks like they're right (Havok has the same body too). I don't know about the gloves and boots, I've never seen a Bullseye up close, buy they look simple enough to be the same. They're silvery-white with silver rings at the cuffs and have some stitching-detail too. The boots have the same design. The belt is white with some silver accents and is made of flexible...[

NightcrawlerMarvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 9 - Galactus Series

Henchmen4HireWhy they called him "Nightcrawler" I have no clue, he doesn't exactly look like a worm, but I guess the name fits in a strange way.
Kurt stands a tiny little bit under 6 inches, which is fine because he always looked a little smaller than everyone. He's lean and muscular in the perfect proportion but the paint-job could definitely have used a steadier hand. The edges of the red paint are slightly wavy instead of sharply straight and the all-yellow eyes are sloppily painted. Also there is some excess black paint on the white gloves and boots. The head-sculpt is okay, but he looks old, maybe 30, and he has a big double-chin. I don't remember Nightcrawler being that old or having that pronounced of a chin. And he has a sour look on his face, like he accidentally ate some brimstone. The skin...[

BeastMarvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 4

Henchmen4HireGood ol' Hank, the smartest man in the world, when his skin turned blue, and hair did too, for a cure his mind drew blank. That's right, I rhymed. I've been waiting to get a Beast since he was given the ML treatment. The old 5-inch one was great but I like this one so much more. I've read a few other reviews on him and they weren't very glowing, I wonder why. He looks like he's supposed to and is the perfect height, so what's the problem? Did I just get the one perfectly crafted figure? Heh.
Beast stands intently at about 6.5 inches tall. I was wondering how well the sculptors were going to show the hair on his body, and it looks good! The majorly hairy-spots (like at the elbows) have heavily-sculpted hair while the rest of the body has a fine "hair-pattern", it works well. The muscles...[

Beta Ray BillMarvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 15 - Modok Series

Henchmen4HireIf Odin's omnipotent hand had anything to do with a figure then you have to buy it. Behold Beta Ray Bill in Asguardian glory!
Bill stands hammer to hammer with Thor at 7 inches tall! This guy is phenomenal. He's muscular enough to exude power but not over-done like that horrible Bishop from a few series ago. I can see many customs being done with Bill's upper-body because it is so well-made. The detail is amazing all over from helm to toes. The wings on his helmet are finely crafted and are painted silvery-white. Bill's face has wrinkles and crevices exactly where they should be, as do the arms, and the teeth and mouth are neatly painted. The only problem with the skin is that it isn't shaded so you can't see the detail at all (a quick wash with black fixes that right away). The boots on...[

VariablePenguinI really like this figure. There are very few flaws. First, the body is great for the character, not too big. His paint is awesome. The Grey is a pearly color and the white is also kind of pearly. He comes with a staff, cloak and nunchukas. The nunchukas can be put behind his belt in a little loop. One thing I didn't like was the hole cut in his cloak to allow for a flight stand he didn't come with. Some of the paint on the inside of the cloak is also chipped off. The basic body is in fact a Bullseye, which is apart on the fore arms where you can still see stitching from Bullseye's gauntlets. His hands and feet are also Bullseye parts, but not his wrists or ankles. His head seems to be a variation of Black Panther's head. Overall the figure kicks some butt. I like this grey...[

BullseyeMarvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 9 - Galactus Series

VariablePenguinCan't believe he hasn't been reviewed! This is one of the best figures released by ToyBiz in the Marvel Legends line in my opinion. Not only is he perfect for customization due to his plainness, he is the best articulated figure around. Every finger moves separately! If only they had kept that concept rolling for the rest of the line...
But seriously, there is nothing better than being able to have a villain give the hero the "finger"! Which raises the question: Why didn't Bullseye come with any accessories? He has all of this great hand movement, but nothing to move it around. Nothing throwing knives, cards, or stars are to be seen. The detailing on this figure is awesome though. From the zippers on his gloves and boots to the pockets on his belt and the nails on his leg belt,...[

Phoenix (Green Uniform)Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 6

Henchmen4HireIs there anyone who doesn't know who Phoenix is? I even asked a nun if she knew who Phoenix was and miraculously she did! (I guess she read comics before!?) Anyhow, I was expecting some fanciful new body sculpt for Phoenix, to impress the fans (because no one would have forgiven them if they used an Elektra body for her), and well, they sort of did. They replaced Electra's ugly hips with more natural-looking ones (I still think they could reduce the crotch area a little more, but it looks pretty good as is). The legs and upper body are still standard though. At least they could have given her hands in a "projecting" form like Storm's, though it's nice to have an improved female body to use as custom fodder (we love you Warbird!).
Our beloved Jean stands about 6 inches tall, even though...[

PsylockeMarvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 14 - Mojo Series

Henchmen4HireI really hate getting my hopes up with new Marvel Legends figures because they keep letting everyone down with useless and incomprehensible modifications to what could otherwise be perfect figure. Psylocke: perfect example. Not only is she short (even though she's supposed to be 6 feet tall, same height as almost everyone else) but her fingers and boot-tips aren't hinged. I can ignore the boot-hinges but why mess with the fingers? I'm glad the sculptors are making new and improved hand poses but please, keep the articulation! These guys managed to give Shadowcat's tiny hands a finger-hinge, and made it look good, so I'm sure they could have made Psylocke's hands articulated. Also, the hips are ball-sockets. Usually these types of hips have an ugly, or at the very least a "unique" sculpt,...[

LongshotMarvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 14 - Mojo Series

Henchmen4HireAs we all know, nothing good came out of the 80's, nothing except Longshot and his golden mullet of course! But even such awesomeness can be marred by the touch of some disgruntled sculptor, as many of the Marvel Legends figures have been, and Longshot is no exception...I'm going to stick that damn sculptor with a paperclip when I find out who he is...
Longshot stands 6 inches tall and about 6 1/4 inches to the top of his shaggy mop. The likeness was captured well in the face (although if the jaw were a little more angular he would look even better), but his hair is sort-of...yuk. In the comics it's loose and looks like sharp quills flowing behind him, but the hair on this figure is too "round", it also looks too thick. Hard to explain unless you see it in the comics! Also, it isn't...[

Henchmen4HireSusan Storm seems an odd name to give someone with invisibility abilities (try saying that 10 times, fast!). The name makes her sound like she could bring down a building with only a thought, but actually she's a real sweet-heart! Well, at least the figure from the Marvel Legends Fantastic Four box set is cute. She could be a raging alcoholic for all I know, like our friend Peter Park- I mean, Tony Stark! I've never read a FF comic-book...
Mrs. Fantastic stands about 6 inches tall and about 6 1/4 inches if you count her short, spunky, blond hair. In fact, she has an overall perky look, like she ate too many pixie-sticks, but in a good way! I remember seeing her in magazines with long hair, but what do I know. The hair is a very light brown and has a nice sculpt. She's so cute with big...[

Meh, apparently Batman has crazy reflexes and he''s all buffed up. Ya''d think more muscle means less effort to move yourself around. Hell, just look at Hulk
I think medium-build is ideal for people, that is unless your job is wrestling grizzly bears...
